Marcus Cederberg

Based in Kumla in central Sweden, Marcus lives with his wife, Anna, and their two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Enzo and Luca. His photographic journey began on Instagram in 2014, initially using nothing more than an iPhone. What started as a personal creative outlet quickly developed into a distinctive photographic practice built around clean compositions, simple details and minimalist imagery. For Marcus, minimalism is about removing rather than adding. Instead of trying to include as much as possible within the frame, he looks for ways to strip a scene back to its essential elements, creating images defined by space, balance, colour, light and a subtle visual twist. His photography has taken him around the world and has been exhibited internationally, with solo and group exhibitions in cities including Stockholm, Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin, Hong Kong, New York, Venice and Zug. Today, Marcus continues to explore architecture, people, landscapes and everyday details through his distinctive minimalist perspective. His photographs invite the viewer to slow down, look again and discover how much can be said with very little.
